We have an excellent opportunity for an Information Systems & Application Development Manager to work for a leading scientific institute in Norwich. The role will interact with stakeholders across departments, software suppliers and customers, and will lead a small team that delivers on coding applications, supporting and implementing systems, data analysis, and providing them with ongoing support.
Up to £55,000 + amazing benefits and Hybrid working.
Information Systems & Application Development’s Main Duties:
- Support and the development of existing code-base/databases
- Define standards and maintain industry best practice
- Project manage core application upgrades while maintaining interoperability and functionality (Finance and HR Systems)
- Identify and define future needs and modifications to supported applications, the data warehouse and inhouse software
- Coding applications and database design
- Data manipulation and transformation
- Managing the team and providing guidance on database design and application development
Information Systems & Application Development’s Qualifications:
- Degree in relevant subject or relevant experience
Information Systems & Application Development’s Experience:
- SQL Database design, implementation, and administration
- Knowledge of HR & Finance procedures, systems, and back-end processes
- High degree of computer literacy
- Expertise in web application development
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript / jQuery
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Ability to define and implement best practice industry standards
- Significant experience in systems analysis and implementation, database design and programming
- Significant project management experience in the field of implementing major software packages
- Experience in management of IT software development
- Version control system, ideally GIT (desirable)
