We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the IT Management sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Head of IT / Senior IT Manager to join a highly established and successful automotive company based in Epson, Surrey, offering excellent benefits including a company car.

This role will take on the lead for managing the Systems Team and provide solutions, strategy and support for all systems, applications & infrastructure to advance the national dealer network. You will ensure that infrastructure, systems, applications & processes meet all necessary legal, GDPR, security requirements.

You will manage the OPEX & CAPEX budgets for the Systems Department, together with responsibility for the management of all IT-related contracts. You will design the strategic delivery of processes, global/local systems & applications ensuring that all key requirements are met within agreed timescales & budget.

You will need to be hands on with supporting IT operations, with a strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, together with an understanding of Business Systems and Applications.

Head of IT / Senior IT Manager’s Core Duties

Operational Management

  • People management of a team of up to 6 employees.
  • Budget management responsibility
  • Overall accountability for IT support internal staff and approximately 3000 dealer staff across 160+ locations
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes for the benefit of the business, and build a best in class team - knowing what "good looks like" will be critical.
  • Leading the adoption of global systems for the local business

Business Systems Operations

  • Manage the development, support, maintenance & data integrity relating to all local & global systems utilised, with a solid focus on SAP & SIEBEL
  • Lead innovation and delivery of key projects/enhancements to underpin initiatives from the definition phase through to development, testing, implementation & support
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with relevant vendors to ensure leading edge system solutions & processes are developed and implemented to gain a competitive advantage
  • Review, plan and deliver systems & applications to provide the dealer network with systems to effectively operate
  • Manage the support and development of the BI platform

Infrastructure Operations
