We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the IT Management sector. We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Manager at a leading legal firm in Sevenoaks. Their clients include household names from the biotech, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and engineering industries.

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + potential to increase for the ideal candidate

Hybrid working between Office and Home, plus flexibility on hours

IT Manager’s Core Duties

  • Coordinate the activities the IT Department
  • Manage and supervise the members of the IT Department
  • Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
  • Manage the IT budget, monitoring and negotiating contracts
  • Monitor performance of IT systems and make recommendations for improving the infrastructure
  • Liaise with fee earners and third party providers
  • Help to develop and drive the department forward

IT Manager’s Key Skills

  • 10+ years’ experience in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • BA/BSc in IT or computing-related subject (preferred)
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
  • Firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices

IT Manager’s Key Knowledge Requirements

  • Distributed File Systems, Virtual server infrastructure, IIS (including SSL certificates)
  • Microsoft server products Windows server, SQL, Exchange, IIS server
  • Office 365
  • Multi-site Server infrastructure (HP DL series)
  • Cloud-based infrastructure and systems
  • Multi-site connectivity and office firewall technologies
  • Shared storage solutions
  • VOIP telephony systems
