We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Manager to be an integral part of the management team for a large family run business, based in Sidcup. This is a highly exciting company that has several medium sized businesses within the group. It is a lovely working environment with all parts of the originations working together in a very friendly and effective family manner.

IT Manager’s Core Duties

  • Managing and implementing new IT Policies and Procedures
  • Carrying out a review of the current hardware and software and recommending improvements
  • Carrying out regular back ups
  • Managing physical and virtual servers
  • Updating Cyber Security and anti-virus software
  • Assisting IT EPOS team
  • Carrying out IT Support for staff and directors
  • Updating hardware and bug fixing
  • Carrying out support for all hardware and software issues
  • Carrying out Officer 365 configuration and support
  • Managing and updating networks / VPN’s
  • Assisting other areas of the business if required

IT Manager’s Key Requirements

  • At least 5 years solid IT experience
  • Excellent knowledge of physical and virtual servers
  • Experience with cyber security / Anti-virus software / data backups
  • Experience creating IT policies and procedures
  • Experience carrying out Office 365 support and configuration?
  • Experience supporting all hardware and software within a business?
  • EPOS experience would be advantageous
  • IT Support within the retail business would be desirable
  • Experience managing and setting up networks and VPNs
  • Experience with EPOS would be useful, not essential
  • Driven, energic and keen to make a difference
  • Excellent communication skills
  • MS qualification or networking qualifications would be desirable
