We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the IT support sector. We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join this organisation who provide a one-stop-shop Telecoms & IT Consultancy & Management service for the SME marketplace.

Salary: £25,000 to £35,000, possibly slightly higher for the right candidate

IT Support Engineer’s Core Duties

  • Manage and monitor the delivery of IT services within the company for all clients
  • Assist IT manager with project planning
  • Assist with keeping ticket system in check
  • Work with 3rd party suppliers and vendors for various support tickets
  • Keep up-to-date with new technologies and upgrades on current systems and ensure that these are implemented accordingly
  • To provide on/off-site server, desk-top and network hardware/software support to the client base
  • Provide support on disaster recovery solutions used by the clients
  • Provide expert support when necessary on Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Assist with providing quotes of all software & hardware
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully

IT Support Engineer’s Essential Skills

  • The ability to translate complex technical issues to non-technical people
  • Windows OS 7-10, Mac OSX
  • Networking, LAN, VLAN, WAN, Firewalls, VPN
  • iOS, Active Sync, Android
  • Experience using and administrating Office365 and Teams
  • Understanding of VPNs
  • Understanding of networking & server administration
  • Office 2013 to 2019
  • Ability to configure web-managed routers
  • Blackberry, Iphone, Smart Device experience

IT Support Engineer’s Desirable Skills, not essential
