We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Technician, preferably with Logistics / Retail experience to join a huge global sports store to providing IT support for all stores in the UK.

You will be a 2nd line support engineer level and will cover both retail and logistics environments. You will be responsible for providing effective solutions while maintaining an impeccable customer service record. You will work as part of a dynamic local IT team, and coordinate support between 1st and 3rd line support teams based internationally.

Location: London and Northampton

Tenure: Initially Contract for 3 -6 months with a view to extend or possibly make perm.

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 (Pro-Rata)

IT Support Technician’s Core Duties

  • Logging and debriefing major incidents, performing root-cause analysis
  • Provide support for 43 retail sites and a logistics warehouse environment
  • Courteously communicate with users over the ticket portal, via email, and in-person
  • Take ownership of incidents and manage them in a logical and methodical manner
  • Distribute and manage hardware - including integration, asset management, and support
  • Work as part of a dynamic team to ensure high standards of support and user satisfaction
  • Create documentation for users and 1st line support

IT Support Technician’s Key Skills

  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
  • You should have a natural aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Able to manage your time effectively, you must be autonomous and well organized
  • Responsible for your priorities and committed to a high standard of service
  • Education / Qualifications in IT or a similar field is a must
  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems is a must
  • 2 years + experience in the use of support/ticketing tools
  • Provided support in both retail and logistics environments, not essential
