JavaScript Application Developer

We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the IT Development sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a JavaScript Application Developer who will have a key role in building cross-platform applications in JavaScript and TypeScript to support a range of digital signage media players. The role will focus on the development of a flagship product but there will also be exposure to other areas of front-end and middleware development. The role will be part of an international team of developers.

Salary £100,000 - £125,000 (inc. bonus) + Potential Equity for the ideal candidate, plus excellent other benefits

Fully remote (occasional travel to the Cambridge office)

JavaScript Application Developer’s Core Duties

• Develop and maintain application software for desktop (PC/Mac/Linux), in-browser and on mobile devices
• Solve challenges across wide-ranging customer-focused requirements
• Build intuitive user interfaces using modern visual design elements
• Integrate with internal and external API components
• Collaborate with various levels of stakeholders in an agile environment

JavaScript Application Developer’s Key Skills

• Experience of JavaScript (preferably TypeScript) frontend development in a commercial environment
• Knowledge of React, Electron and Redux
• Experience of Git/Gerrit source control
• Good understanding of REST API concepts and cloud-based backends
• Familiarity with CSS and TML5
• Demonstrable ability to write high-quality, robust and testable code
• Strong attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable
• Ken interest in new technology and professional development

JavaScript Application Developer’s Key Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience
• BA/BSc in a relevant discipline (desirable)
