We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Financial Services sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Regulatory Reporter / Developer. The company are looking for someone who has been carrying out regulatory reporting and who would like to be more involved in the technical aspects of delivering regulatory reporting or someone that has been providing development support for financial systems and wants to work with the end-users and be involved in development streams.

Hybrid working - working from either Tring, Herts or St Ives, Cambridge offices, with some visits to client offices.

Regulatory Reporter / Developer’s Core Duties

  • Liaise with the Regulatory Reporting SME to understand regulatory changes
  • Review regulatory changes and identify ways to amend software to reflect these
  • Work with customers to discuss regulatory changes and trouble-shoot support issues
  • Document customers’ requirements as specifications, and be involved in the development
  • Own the unit testing of any development work applying skills in SQL Server queries and SQL Server Integration Services
  • Comprehensive training and opportunities for growth and development will be encouraged

Regulatory Reporter / Developer’s Key Experience

  • 2 years’ experience developing or configuring regulatory reporting tools or systems for UK banks and/or building societies; Or
  • 2 years’ experience as an end user in regulatory reporting within a UK bank and/or a building society; Or
  • 2 years’ experience as a developer of similar systems supporting the UK financial sector
  • Working knowledge of the directives and regulations that underline regulatory reporting (desirable)
  • Excel reporting (desirable)
  • Understanding of MS SQL Server queries and stored procedures (desirable)
  • Experience of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) data transformation (desirable)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Team player, and can work independently and take ownership of own projects
  • Good customer services skills and experience working with external and internal stakeholders
