Short description of IT skillset
Installing, configuring, administering, monitoring and troubleshooting Symantec Enterprise Vault 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 2007, 8.0 and 9.0
Installing, configuring, administering, monitoring and troubleshooting Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7 & Windows 2008, 2003, 2000 Server, Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2007, 2003, 2000 and 5.5
Setting up TCP/IP network system including Wins server, DHCP server, Client server and DNS
Set up, backup and restore router configurations. Operation of Cisco IOS software, router commands, editing features and image management, Install, configure and open simple routed and switched LAN and WAN networks using IP, IGRP, IPX, Serial, Apple Talk, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs IPX, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists, ISDN.
Connection to Novell NetWare network, managing network storage distributed file system, disk quotas and encryption.
Configuring and managing network printing. Disaster protection. Using terminal service.
Design network systems involving Ethernet, Token Ring & FDDI. Install & configure network cards, network cables, repeaters, hubs, bridges, routers, b-routers & switches. Set-up & configure TCP/IP, IPX, NetBEUI Protocols. IP address (static & dynamic), DHCP Servers & WINS Servers. Set-up & configure network security, create users & groups. Set-up Firewalls & Proxy Servers.
PC assembly, troubleshooting and upgrades, configuration, installation and diagnostics of hard disk, multi-media (CD ROM, SoundBlaster), network cards, modems and non-standard devices, setting up peer to peer networking using Windows 95, printer and peripherals maintenance, familiar with most PCs including Apple MAC. DOS, Windows 95/ 98/ 2000/ XP. MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
